What you will do
Job Summary :
The role of the Site team is to manage the suppliers’ issues in line with Group Purchasing policy and to support Operational activities through improvement of Quality, Sustainaiblity, Capacity and Cost (QSCC) performance.
Roles :
Work closely with and support the plant operations team for supplier related QSCC issues, manage the working relationships with suppliers for a given site (in cooperation with other site functions) and/or region
Capacity and delivery management
Maintain price/price adjustment when changed by overseas global host buyer
Perform the activities such as investments, RFQ's, negotiations while ensuring product life cycle parts availability from the supplier
Tooling/rack investment
Tooling management and scrap
Manage serial production changes (ECN)
Represent Purchasing in forums like operation, production planning and shipment meetings
Align internally within Purchasing and then provide one voice to production/sales
Manage stocks and obsolescence materials
Is part of the PMT regarding product modifications/cost rationalization
Contribute to commodity strategies and to the achievement of Purchasing KPIs targets
Manage purchase invoices discrepancies
Supplier risk management(SPM/SELM)
Manage day to day interface for delivery between suppliers and production including solution as may required
Support RAMs ECN parts development and serial delivery through CKD
Manage MRB parts for shipback,replacement,repair,claim and invoicing
Manage and update FTA COO
Keep the processes,manuals,the Volvo Way,code of conduct,anti-corruption compliance and local laws
Oversea supplier lead time reduction activity
Oversea supplier regular capacity analysis and leading material planning and CMT buyer meeting for China Operation and CKD
Who are you?
1. Education/Professional Qualifications required for the position: Engineering degree with a specialisation in international purchasing
Minimum 5-year experience in the same level of position in an industrial environment
Results oriented with strong written and oral communications skills
Ability to work in a matrixed organisation
Leadership
International mind set, overseas experience a plus
Minimum bi-lingual (English mandatory)
2. Additional Important Requirements : Good communication and interpersonal skills
Fluent English, both in writing and speaking to communicate with regional Purchasing team and overseas suppliers
