The Role The Sector Executive for Real Estate is within the Sectors and Accounts function under Markets in KPMG in China.
The core responsibilities of this role are to support major marketing and client-facing initiatives within the real estate sector, including supporting the Sector Head, organizing events, sector planning and reporting, and client relationship management.
Your will work closely with client lead partners to drive business with key clients and shape sector strategy.
This includes developing strong relationships within the firm, and with multinational and domestic clients in the real estate and building construction sector.
The clients are primarily conglomerates across Mainland China and Hong Kong SAR.
Based in Shanghai, the successful candidate will proactively work with KPMG partners across all lines of service, both within the China firm and with global counterparts.
The Sector Executive Assistant Manager will support to develop and implement strategically aligned, client focused and value-added initiatives, ensuring key global and regional objectives are achieved, with sector and account net income targets.
The Sector Executive Assistant Manager reports to the national head of Real Estate and works with the Sector & Accounts team, including regional BDA.
Key Responsibilities Sector Development As the sector executive, and along with the sector head, the successful candidate will: • support relationship partners on specific key clients, embodying a "client for life" mindset• develop client and sector go-to-market content and initiatives through various channels• support to plan and execute sector marketing strategy• prepare regular reports for account and sector lead partners• monitor activities within priority accounts via the account teams to create an overall picture of connectivity with our key clients• work with account lead partners to develop and implement national and global account plans • plan for and monitor sector marketing budgets• help drive and implement national or regional business development initiatives• develop publications and thought leadership• support to prepare/upgrade sector Go-To-Market service talk books and arrange internal sharing sessions to popularize the awareness• support to roll out series of internal knowledge sharing for sector knowledge• analyze data from pipeline and revenue reports to share with the sector leadership on a regular basis• monitor events, conferences, industry groups, and other opportunities to engage with sector experts or to present KPMG capabilities Client Relationship Development Along with local and global account teams, the successful candidate will: • develop new relationships with priority accounts through a deep understanding of client corporate and business issues• identify new consulting opportunities• organize events and activities to improve broader client connectivity• manage the bidding and request-for-proposals response by composing teams and proposals, and working with wider pursuit teams to deliver excellence during the proposal process Key Qualifications • 5+ years' experience working as a consultant, in marketing, or in B2 B sales within the real estate, PERE, and/or building construction industry for either: • a professional service firm • a large multinational or domestic company • a boutique consultancy or startup working on solutions for the real estate/building construction sector• Both international and China experience preferred.
Solid English skills are required.
• An up-to-date understanding of trends in real estate, building construction, Prop Tech, Construciton Tech and PERE industry• Undergraduate degree or above in economics, finance, or business related or architecture• Experience with consulting services, either as a provider or a user/buyer.
• An established network within the real estate/building construction/PERE sector, including industry associations• Robust commercial sense, a deep interest in the business world and the ability to transform a commercial issue into business development opportunity• Excellent project management skills, working towards tight timeframes under pressure, managing multiple priorities, assimilating information quickly and keeping stakeholders abreast of status• High degree of attention to detail• Proactivity in coming up with ideas and implementing initiatives that have a positive impact on the business either directly or indirectly • A positive, optimistic, resilient and "can do" attitude, and is willing to share knowledge and challenge how things are done in order to improve them• Strong interpersonal skills including confidence, open-mindedness, diplomacy and empathy and the ability to build credibility About KPMG At KPMG China, we are committed to being an equal opportunity employer, with zero tolerance for any form of discrimination against any persons.
