Regional Lead for Client Relations - Sustainalytics About the Role This role is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to be part of Sustainalytics’ growth story.
We are looking for an experienced business development professional to lead our business development for Greater China and Korea, primarily focusing on the China onshore market, and to work closely and collaboratively across the Sustainalytics and Morningstar sales and client advisory teams.
This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with experts across all areas of Sustainalytics and to work with the Sales and Client Relations team globally to grow our market presence.
Your clear understanding of our clients and prospects and their business drivers will be the key to success.
This role has a strong emphasis on relationship development with clients and prospects and you will be an ambassador for Sustainalytics from early on.
Job Responsibilities Play a leading role in developing and implementing Sustainalytics business development strategy for Greater China and Korea, primarily focusing on the China onshore market;• Grow and maintain a robust sales pipeline by:o Taking ownership of and successfully closing incoming opportunitieso Responding to requests for proposalso Identifying and developing new opportunities and markets• Act as a trusted advisor to institutional & retail investors, banks, insurers and corporates on how to apply Responsible Investment strategies and incorporate our products and services;• Stay on top of market developments, identify and share product innovation opportunities;• Represent the company at industry events and conferences as well as public speaking engagements;• Build, maintain and extend professional networks;• Further develop ESG and investment industry knowledge.
Closely collaborating across the Sustainalytics and Morningstar sales and client advisory teams• We work on regular basis with colleagues in our other APAC offices as well as in Europe and North America.
Collaboration with Morningstar Enterprise sales team in China for cross sell opportunities is also common.
Therefore, the desire to work very closely with a diverse team from many different cultures is critical to working at Morningstar Sustainalytics.
Qualifications The ideal candidate needs to be an ambitious team player who can both succeed individually, as well as reaching goals through close collaboration with other team members.
The ideal candidate will have:• Demonstrated passion for sustainability and an alignment with Sustainalytics’ mission, vision and values;• Minimum of 4-7 years of financial services, responsible investment or sustainability related work experience;• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the investment industry and the use of ESG research• Demonstrating strong performance in consultative sales and effectively communicating with senior management in the assigned region.
