Responsibilities

Database Management: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance KDB+ databases and applications for real-time and historical market data analysis.
Query Optimization: Optimize q/KDB+ queries and tables for low-latency processing in a high-frequency trading setting.
Data Systems Development: Build and enhance systems for market data capture, storage, and retrieval to support quantitative research and trading strategies.
Collaboration: Work with traders and quantitative analysts to implement real-time analytics, signal generation, and risk management tools.
Performance Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks in time-series data processing.
System Integration: Integrate KDB+ with other trading systems, including applications built in C++ and Python.
Infrastructure Reliability: Ensure scalability, reliability, and efficiency of KDB+ infrastructure in a distributed environment.

Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in KDB+/q programming in a financial or trading context.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of time-series databases, tick data, and market microstructure.
Technical Skills: Experience with low-latency optimization, IPC (interprocessmunication), and multithreading in KDB+.
Programming Proficiency: Proficiency in Python or C++ for integration with KDB+ systems.
Environment Familiarity: Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and scripting (Bash, Python).
Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of electronic trading, order books, and exchange protocols (FIX, OUCH, etc.) is a plus.
Problem-Solving Ability: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree inputer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
