About RoleThe Head of Communications is responsible for the development and implementation of a strategic communications plan across internal and external stakeholders to build the reputation and increase brand awareness of EiM, DCI and other sub-brands. The Head of Communications also provides strategic counsel and communications guidance to protect EiM’s reputation. Reporting to the Group Director of AMC, the Head of Communications works directly with Marketing, Admissions and Research Insights teams, and in close collaboration with EiM leadership, EiM functional teams and School AMC teams.Duties and ResponsibilitiesStrategic Communications • Develop and implement strategic communications plan across all internal and external stakeholders• Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to develop dynamic, impactful key messages and narratives for new brands, products, programmes• Collaborate with Digital Marketing, Brand Marketing, Admissions and Digital Experience colleagues and provide the communications strategy and relevant content for cross-functional projects• Implement, monitor, and maintain communications guidelines, policies and frameworks, style and tone of voice across the Group and schools Reputation Building and Protection • Provide strategic counsel and communications guidance to senior leadership, Group and schools to proactively avoid and manage issues / crisis• Develop content to manage issues / crises, including frameworks, processes, templates, toolkits to guide internal and external communications at Group and school level• Devise an ongoing PR strategy to grow Group reputation as a pioneer in the education space, including campaigns, thought leadership opportunities, awards and conferences • Deliver relevant and differentiating content strategy and implementation for brand level channels on social media and to attract and retain internal and external stakeholders• Ensure implementation and amplification of group campaigns and support schools in school-specific campaigns and initiatives to build brand awarenessProject Management • Develop the strategy for content production and publishing process, including the ‘always-on’ content publishing agenda and calendar• Collaborate with Digital Marketing colleagues to monitor effectiveness of content, including on social, website and earned media channels• Effectively leverage social listening agency for data driven insights to integrate into communication strategies • Negotiate and manage group-based vendor relationships• Management of Communications budget Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or Media Studies• 5+ years of communications or marketing experience with 3+ years of experience in a management role • Preferably with experience in the education management industry • Native English (both written and spoken); proficiency in Mandarin Chinese preferred Core Competencies• Strong written and oral communications skills with excellent copywriting skills• Strong project management skills with excellent attention to detail • Ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, functions and teams across different regions in a multicultural, fast-paced environment• Ability to work confidently with senior leadership and key external and internal stakeholders• Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality and integrity when dealing with sensitive issues and information • Experience with and understanding of media landscape, digital marketing, social media, website and content development • Well versed in MS Office How to apply:Please click "Apply" and complete our online application process.
