=Objectives of the Position=
- Develop and explore new business opportunities in TPU injection and physical foaming applications, including new product development, current portfolio evolution and the life cycle management on sustainability strategy in China.
- Develop and establish China Market Development plans/concepts in the area of TPU injection and foaming application
- Drive and influence specification for all TPU injection molding accounts in China
- Conduct and develop the new applications and business according to the regional strategy and objectives

=Main Tasks=
[Tech Development]
- Identify technology trends and share with segment leads- technology trends, competition, regulations, etc
- Regularly update and implement technical road map based on segment strategy and identify technology needs
- Supports product launch (e.g., Participate as part of a product launch team to ensure smooth introduction of the product in customer serving processes. Support presentation/seminars and workshops to launch products
- Coordinate closely with product management, operations, R&D, and sales as necessary and work as one team to accomplish tasks
- Provide expert training to Sales team

[Application Development]
- Technical multiplication (new/current applications with current solutions), Innovation Drive (influence R&D focus, influence industry/product strategy)
- Communication with internal and external partners on the application areas by providing regular updates on project status. Participate, organize, and present results in meetings
- Provide product and process recommendation to sales team
- Timely communication of the status of new grade development to promote innovation sales

[Project management]
- Supports technical projects/activities and ensures good progress of these projects, by assigning appropriate expertise and using effective project management approach.

[Innovations]
- Fosters innovation and creative thinking as a process based on customer needs, in conjunction with sales and marketing teams.
- Facilitates innovation activities and events, networking and external collaborations.
- Supports product development and coordinates with the product development and product management teams
- Works closely with the sales teams to promote new products and innovative solutions to customers.
- Organize and conduct technical presentations and seminars.


=Main Requirements=
- Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree of Chemistry, Polymer Material, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Material Engineering, or equivalent.
- At least 3-5 years working experience on chemical industry with solid experience on thermoplastic elastomer materials, TPU injection processing is preferable.
- R&D or application development experience on thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), or Polyurethane system or thermoplastic elastomer is necessary.
- Familiar with plastic processing eg. injection molding and extrusion.
- Market development experience is a plus.
- Travel outstation frequency > 50%
