DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Support of new Product Development and manufacturing for DSS CSBU IO External cables.
o Review new concepts with manufacturing and provide feedback on feasibility and plant capability
o Support analysis activities such as POC, FEA and Tolerance Analysis
o Provide alternative solutions to resolve gaps in achieving target specifications
o Facilitate build and support activities related to FOT, FSV and DVP
o Review design intent and ensure alignment with the Final Design Review (FDR)
o Verify that work instructions align with assembly and sales drawings
o Conduct tooling and process reviews to confirm alignment with FDR documentation
o Track and report progress of production line setup
o Drive closure through Phase 7 of the NPI process
o Approve component and assembly FAIs after FDR
•Support existing products already in production or launching.
o Provide Engineering support of customer quality issues to ensure product reliability
o Provide Engineering support to plant for cost reductions and yield improvements
o Create Product Modifications and series expansions to increase market share
•Support new product design and execution activities. Help achieve faster time to market.

EDUCATION:
REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
PREFERRED: Major in mechanical design and manufacturing
WORK EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED: About 3-4 years of product development experience
PREFERRED: Connector and cable assembly experience
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
REQUIRED:•GD&T, DFMEA, DFM, MSA , QMS
PREFERRED:•Oral English will be value added
