Key Accountabilities Production Scheduling & Capacity Planning:
Develop and maintain detailed production schedules using ERP/MES systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) to meet customer delivery deadlines.
Monitor capacity utilization and identify bottlenecks; propose solutions to optimize production flow.
Coordinate with production supervisors to ensure schedule adherence and address deviations in real-time.
Inventory Management:
Manage raw material and finished goods inventory levels to meet target service levels while minimizing carrying costs.
Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials and avoid production delays.
Implement inventory control strategies to reduce obsolescence and improve turnover.
Demand & Supply Alignment:
Participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S& OP) meetings to align production plans with sales forecasts.
Analyze demand variability and adjust schedules to accommodate urgent orders or changes in priority.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Generate daily/weekly production performance reports, including schedule adherence, capacity utilization, and inventory metrics.
Use data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities to streamline planning processes, reduce lead times, and enhance supply chain resilience.
Support the implementation of digital tools (e.g., APS - Advanced Planning Systems) for automated scheduling.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in production planning, inventory management, or supply chain planning within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel (pivot tables, macros, formulas).
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic operational changes.
Preferred:
Certification in APICS CPIM or CSCP.
Experience with Advanced Planning Systems (APS) or demand planning tools.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (e.g., Just-in-Time, Kanban).
Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO standards, GMP).
