Job Title: Sales Manager, Meeting and Events Job Summary This role is responsible for generating revenue for the overall resort wide properties.
The job involves meeting with clients, coordinate business deals that seek to promote the Universal Beijing Resort and it’s unique MICE services.
Meetings & Events sales managers need to perform their duties develop and implement sales strategies required in maximizing returns.
They establish objectives and execute necessary action plans required to achieve set financial goals.
In the meantime, they also carry out research to identify ways to increase customer base.
Fully emphasize responsibility, understanding goal and direction, and work closely with hotel, City Walk and Theme Park operation team.
Major Responsibilities Well acknowledged of theme park and hotel function and facilities, based on the annual sales target to develop action plans, and set objectives for increased revenue and maximum profit, always proactively upsell value added staffs to maximum total revenue and achieve annual sales target.
Proactively develop client relationship and on a regular basis contact with clients to obtain feedback and encourage continued patronage.
Have a clear understanding of the overall MICE service packages and assets to be introduced to clients.
Act as a professional event expert for all external clients to organize revenue generating events such as Park Buyouts, Land Buyouts, Annual Party, Team Buildings, Youth Program, Family Day, Wedding and corporate events…etc.
A background of event agency / theme park MICE sales is preferred.
Multiple task handling and highly efficient is always requested.
Problem handling, self-motivated, follow up guidance and SOP strictly.
Training others if necessary.
Work closely with internal operation teams closely, to oversees the execution of MICE leading events.
Strong ownership, responsible for Business from contracting till Event finished.
Carry out research and analysis to identify new markets and business opportunities.
Monitor and track event revenue for supporting future sales strategy development.
Qualifications5-10 Years of sales experiences required in hospitality industry, demonstrated ability of having strong client relationships, a theme park related sales experiences or event agency experiences will be a plus.
Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, presentation skills and analytical mind set.
Good command of oral and written English.
Solid experiences in using Amadeus/Salesforce system are a plus.
Education Master's degree from a four-year college or university in Business, Sales and Marketing, Event/Catering, Communications, or related field required.
PMP or any other Project Management certifications strongly preferred.
